About Me

I’m the daughter of two Air Force veterans, married to a Marine veteran, and mother to a 4-year-old. I grew up in rural Missouri in a farming and lake community where I met my husband in Debate class. God called me to pastoral ministry in college, and my bishop appointed me to Newberg in 2020. I value community, frugality, sustainability, civility, doing good, and planting seeds for future generations.

Volunteer Work

  • Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Clark County, WA

  • Board member and meal coordinator for Project Transformation, a summer kids reading program

  • Frequent summer camp counselor

  • Volunteer for domestic disaster recovery efforts

Why I’m Running

Newberg is changing. Commercial, housing, and transportation projects are reshaping our city, and City Council will lead us through. As a pastor, I have the character, training, and experience to guide people through crisis, conflict, and change. As a debate coach, I am skilled at researching and considering all sides. I practice servant leadership, authenticity, and transparency.

I’m a renter, so I would bring an underrepresented voice to our city government. I’m concerned about affordable housing because I’ve seen teachers and other working professionals unable to live in the communities they serve, and I’ve spent years ministering with housing-insecure neighbors. Additionally, I care about improving sidewalks and bike lanes, providing quality parks, and starting a city composting program.
